Last modified: 2006-06-10 14:46:19 UTC
Distribution: Ubuntu 6.06 (dapper) Package: gnome-panel Severity: critical Version: GNOME2.14.1 2.14.x Gnome-Distributor: Ubuntu Synopsis: Gnome-panel "Run Application" unexpected quit Bugzilla-Product: gnome-panel Bugzilla-Component: Panel Bugzilla-Version: 2.14.x BugBuddy-GnomeVersion: 2.0 (2.14.1) Description: Description of the crash: Invoking "xscreensaver-demo" from "Run Application" dialog consistently provokes an unexpected quit of gnome-panel. Selecting to restart panel produces dialog "I've detected a panel already running and will now exit" Clicking "OK" may result in regeneration of this dialog -- regeneration appears avoided by pausing before click. Panel crash does interrupt run of xscreensaver-demo. Steps to reproduce the crash: 1. Alt-F2 to invoke "Run Application" 2. type or select from history "xscreensaver-demo" 3. click "Run" Expected Results: Activation of xscreensaver-demo without panel crash. How often does this happen? Without fail. Additional Information: Xscreensaver 4.23 packaged with Ubuntu 6.06 (dapper) Debugging Information: Backtrace was generated from '/usr/bin/gnome-panel' (no debugging symbols found) Using host libthread_db library "/lib/tls/i686/cmov/libthread_db.so.1".
