This contains a dv1394sink, for which we can borrow code and make into a GstBaseSink derived element.

Any news on this? Patches against gst-plugins-bad that use basesink/basesrc would be good to have

Zaheer, can you comment on Sebastian's questions?

I guess the patches do not work against any reasonable recent version of GStreamer and hence this bug can be closed if there will be no reaction.
