Description Michael Stather 2006-06-04 23:47:08 UTC
Please describe the problem:
IMHO this is a fundamental design problem in some areas of GNOME. For example when I open the "file properties" dielog, it´s always displayed in the upper-left corner of my desktop. If I move it to a convenient location, for example the middle, this setting isn´t saved. Also the window state (normal/maximized) isn´t saved for example in nautilus (I already reported that).
IMHO these settings should be remembered for all windows, if I move them around or resize them/change their window state I expect them to restore this state on application/GNOME restart.

Steps to reproduce:
1.
2.
3.

Actual results:

Expected results:

Does this happen every time?
