splash screen disappears too soon

The gnome login is to early if gnome-session has alot of applications to load.. The splashscreen should stai on untill all apps(or at least most of them) are loaded.... I have Ubuntu 6.06 on my box Other information:
Yes, I've noticed it too. Not sure if this is a duplicate though, might be. I'll retitle it to better reflect that it's about the splash screen, hope it's ok with you.

Not sure if this is a duplicate though, might be. > > I'll retitle it to better reflect that it's about the splash screen, hope it's > ok with you. > No problem.. actualy I wasn't sure how to name it but now that you gave me an idea what to look for I searched bugzila and I fownd another bug for this problem: "Bug 74508 – Splash screen does not wait for and display everything that loads" The thing is it's from 2002 and it's stil "NEW".. :P So you can change it to duplicate if you fil that should be done (I don't realy know) and maybe update 74508 so that people are aware the problem is still there..
Yeah, then this is a duplicate... This is something that happens in open source software - if noone has the energy to fix it, it won't get fixed no matter how long it's there. Filing the duplicate will send an email about it to those who are subscribed to that other bug, and it doesn't really make sense to keep the same bug around many times.
