Description tom 2006-06-04 12:16:13 UTC
The contact view of Evolution could be made a little better imho. I have a few suggestions:

The large contact view is separated into "private" & "business", but you only find address & telephone information here, e-mail adresses are just displayed as "e-mails", and you can't tell which is the private one and which is the business e-mail. They should also appear in the "private" or "business" section of the contact view. When you have the list view, you can configure which columns should be displayed. But you can't choose "private e-mail" or "business mail", you can just choose "e-mail, "e-mail 2", "e-mail 3" and so forth. Then again in the "address card" view, it says "e-mail 1" and "e-mail 2". This should be more consistent - it's just confusing this way.

The large contact view should also show you ALL information that you have entered for a contact. It's just annoying when you have entered a lot of information for a cntact, have a eally big contact view but still you can't see all the information, instead you have to double-click the contact and click trough all the tabs to see all the information about a contact.

Thomas, Agreed. I think the email issue needs to be fixed. Beyond that I guess the following information are missing in the preview

* nickname
* calendar, freebusy URL
* profession, Manager, Assistant, Dept
* Spouse, Bday, Anniversary

I feel I have covered all. Ill take this up.
