Description Scott 2006-06-01 00:28:17 UTC
That pretty much sums it up.

I'm not sure if it did in the past or if that was x-screensaver I was using.

Nevertheless, most all x-screensavers are configurable as to how they display. You can adjust these settings in KDE and in the x-Screensaver package but gnome-screen saver doesn't give you any options at all.

This is pretty basic stuff. Microsoft Windows and KDE have been offering this functionality since day one.

Thanks for the bug report. This particular bug has already been reported into our bug tracking system, but please feel free to report any further bugs you find.

See both bug 316654 and bug 337935 as well as http://live.gnome.org/GnomeScreensaver/FrequentlyAskedQuestions; I'll mark as a duplicate of the first of those bugs.

Those bugs are "resolved". They are no longer active.

This one is new....
