Description Mead 2006-05-28 19:27:51 UTC
Distribution: Ubuntu 6.06 (dapper)
Package: totem
Severity: Normal
Version: GNOME2.14.1 1.4.1
Gnome-Distributor: Ubuntu
Synopsis: totem crashes on startup
Bugzilla-Product: totem
Bugzilla-Component: general
Bugzilla-Version: 1.4.1
BugBuddy-GnomeVersion: 2.0 (2.14.1)
Description:
Description of the crash:
I am using totem-xine 1.4.1-0ubuntu4, the current latest in Dapper.
The totem window appears then after a few moments of working I get the
'application quit unexpectidly' message. I have tried totem-gstreamer
and the problem does not occur there. I also have gxine and xine-ui
installed and they both work fine.

How often does this happen?
Every time I open totem from the panel or terminal, however if I open a
movie with totem, i.e. by clicking on the file then it runs fine and
plays the
movie.

Thanks for the bug report. This particular bug has already been reported into our bug tracking system, but please feel free to report any further bugs you find.

Identical (though short of information) stacktrace, similar description, same distro, same backend. Backend specific issue.
