GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 343073
title should be standardized, and abstract made more meaningful
Last modified: 2006-06-11 13:03:15 UTC
The title shouldn't contain version information and the
element should contain something more meaningful than "user manual for the gedit text editor" (see http://live.gnome.org/Yelp/ConsistentDocs)
Created attachment 66313 [details] [review] Removes version number from title and adds relevant description This patch should fix the bug.
gedit docs need lots of love, but you got to start somewhere... please commit.
On behalf of the docs team, I'll second that. BTW, Paolo, I see only two bugs filed in this component. If the gedit manual needs work, would you care to file bugs, or post to the docs mailing list about what needs doing?
ok, I am opening a generic gedit docs bug, we can start adding stuff there or turn it inti a tracker.
I committed this myself (not sure if I should have waited the docs people to that...)
Thanks :) I've only just checked out the gedit docs source from CVS today. Should the manual title in gedit-C.omf be updated too?
No idea :) If you think that gedit-C.omf should be fixed too, feel free to go ahead and commit
I've checked with the docs experts, and that omf file is obsolete anyway. This bug can be closed :)
