Description David Schissler 2006-05-24 20:27:40 UTC
When I'm changing workspaces I have to specify that I want to go to the
workspace to the left and to the right. Instead I would like a key binding that
allows me to simply go to the next desktop. For example, on my laptop I only
use two workspaces. I would like to be able to press one shortcut key and go to
the next desktop. Alternatively, an option that is disabled by default in the
workspace configuration window could allow for cyclic workspaces. It could look
something like this. [ ] Cyclic workspace changer.

Could be dupe of 'don't stop at last workspace', but could also be done by implementing a new keyboard shortcut.

Thanks for the bug report. This particular bug has already been reported into our bug tracking system, but please feel free to report any further bugs you find.

In particular, I think it's not something we want for the reasons pointed out by Havoc (see bug 89315 comment 19). There is also a patch in that bug you can apply locally (as well as in at least one of the dupes). You could also write your own little utility program or pager to do this with a separate keybinding if you like.
