Open a register
Click the Transfer button in the toolbar
Place the cursor in the Description entry field of the Transfer Funds dialog
Type a single letter that will match the first character of some existing Description

The entry box is autofilled, but nothing is selected, and the cursor is active _before_ the entered character. 

I'm expecting autofill to work the same way it does in registers.
