Description Peter Tribble 2006-05-09 13:17:06 UTC
Building 1.1.16.

If libgcrypt is too old, the configure script generates an error:

checking for libgcrypt-config... /usr/bin/libgcrypt-config
./configure: line 21809: 1.1.42: No such file or directory

The problem is that configure says:

echo gcrypt library version < 1.1.42 - Crypto extensions will not be available.

which the shell treats as a redirect - the whole string should be quoted.
Comment 1 GNOME Infrastructure Team 2021-07-05 11:00:05 UTC
GNOME is going to shut down bugzilla.gnome.org in favor of gitlab.gnome.org.
As part of that, we are mass-closing older open tickets in bugzilla.gnome.org
which have not seen updates for a longer time (resources are unfortunately
quite limited so not every ticket can get handled).

If you can still reproduce the situation described in this ticket in a recent
and supported software version, then please follow
  https://wiki.gnome.org/GettingInTouch/BugReportingGuidelines
and create a new ticket at
  https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/libxslt/-/issues/

Thank you for your understanding and your help.
