Description John Eikenberry 2006-05-05 17:08:52 UTC
If you attempt to view a file with evince that doesn't have the correct extension (eg. '.pdf') it fails to load the document with the error...

  Unable to open document
  Unhandled MIME type

I noticed this initially when downloading a pdf file and launching it in the viewer. It was named with a '_pdf' extension instead of the usual. It did have the correct content-type header. Also magic number detection works via the 'file' command.

Seems like evince could support retrieving the data from one or both of these sources if the initial extension test fails.

That should be fixed in HEAD, thanks for reporting.
