GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 340657
Show file list in other styles (thumbnail / list)
Last modified: 2006-09-07 19:05:53 UTC
The File chooser needs to show the files in other kinds of view, like thumbnails. Eg. When you want to send photos to your friends or select photos to open in some software, the easy way is to see these pictures as thumbnails in File Chooser. To make this i decided to put another list button togheter the "selector file type" list, but instead of use names to express the options of this list, is much usefull to use icons, one icon to show like thumbnails and other to show like a list. Look at mockup to understand more. Mockup: http://flickr.com/photos/edir/140374715/
Or instead of use a button list, use a simple button and switch the options, thumbnails and lists. First click view as thumbnails and change the button icon to list mode, click again on list mode, change the button icon to thumbnails mode. And a simple button is faster than a popup menu or a selector button.
