Description Francis Earl 2006-05-02 22:12:02 UTC
I listen to many streams from shoutcast.com (pls files). During the 0.8.x series, such files listed the name of the song and playlist title.

Now, in the 0.9.x series, all that is displayed is the stream title.

This could almost be usability, as its rather silly to state the stream name as the only text in the Song Name section of the player.

This also applies to the notification's. It would also be nice (although I don't think its possible) if notifications (via inotify) could just know when a song is changed in the stream, and notify as if it is a new audio file etc...

Thank you for writting such a great application though, I've used it for a while, this is my only gripe with the application currently.

The work to enable this in gstreamer 0.10 is almost complete (bug 333657).

Notifications are displayed (via libnotify (not inotify, which is something completely different)) when the stream song title changes.
