Description Jerome 2006-05-02 09:26:38 UTC
I would like to move the start date of a task by simply moving its bar drawing
in the Gantt chart.

Drag and dropping in Gantt chart is already used for three things:
* from the right border of a task, you can extend the duration of the task;
* from the left border of a task or from the right border of a progress bar, you can update the progress bar;
* from the rest of the task to another task, you can set a Predecessor relationship between these two tasks.

In this situation, I don't see in which way yet another drag and drop shortcut could be added, unless we use the ctrl or shift key.
Comment 2 Jerome 2009-02-17 22:02:37 UTC
It is currently not possible to change the start date of a task by just moving the left border of the task.
