Description Jeremiah Poling 2006-05-01 23:55:10 UTC

viewing a file with carriage returns instead of new lines will only have the
syntax highlighting active up to the first carriage return.

Steps to reproduce:
1. open a python file in gedit.
2. find/replace "\n" with "\r"
3. watch the syntax highlighting dissappear.

Thanks for taking the time to report this bug.
This bug report isn't very useful because it doesn't describe the bug well. If you have time and can still reproduce the bug, please read http://bugzilla.gnome.org/bug-HOWTO.html and add a more useful description to this bug.
Comment 2 Paolo Borelli 2006-05-02 22:26:38 UTC
actually the description is pretty clear. Reassigning to gtksourceview which is the library that takes care of the syntax highlighting.
