GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 340150
File name shown in drag and drop icon is incorrect during rename.
Last modified: 2009-06-19 14:19:16 UTC
Please describe the problem: Sorry for the bad summary, but I can't really think of a better way to describe it. When renaming a file and dragging into a folder(without ending the rename) the name shown on the icon that follows the mouse is the original name, not the changed one. Steps to reproduce: 1. Right-click>Rename>change the name to anything 2. While the rename box thingy still open(so typing anything will change the name) click and drag the file anywhere. Actual results: The icon that follows the mouse has the incorrect file name. Expected results: The icon that follows the mouse should have the new name. Does this happen every time? Yes Other information: The name change completes properly after the file is dropped.
Confirming. This is still there in 2.14. The solution is probably to just refresh the UI when it is first clicked with the mouse.
