See the screenshot, I don't care that much if my folders are symlinks and the link indication distracts from the emblem.

Uhm, sorry but I'm reopening this, I don't think this is a duplicate.

Bug 321819 is about emblem's size, my point is instead: the *symlink* indication is too obtrusive: the user-assigned emblems should be the first thing you perceive and shouldn't compete for the symlink emblem for attention.
