Apple's daapd is already utilized by Rhythmbox (with autodiscovery using
randevouz). Could Totem have similar functionality of accessing shared video
library?

Given that DAAP isn't really made to share videos, and that we can't access iTunes 7 (which does video), and that Rhythmbox doesn't handle videos, I'll close this. We should rather have UPNP support (see bug 458126).
