When obeying the positioning information in sessionrc files GIMP doesn't verify that the window will be properly visible in multi-monitor setups with "gaps". This is especially noticeable in a fresh user installation where the default position for the toolbox is (48, 48). This might well be outside the monitors, if for instance the user has two monitors, the left in landscape orientation and the right in portrait orientation, with their bottoms aligned.
