GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 337521
Selecting text in a cell doesn't work
Last modified: 2009-11-28 17:42:33 UTC
Forwarded from: https://launchpad.net/distros/ubuntu/+source/gnumeric/+bug/38415 Gnumeric 1.6.3, Ubuntu Dapper 1. Enter some text in a cell. 2. Drag from one part of the text to another. What should happen: * The text between those two points should be selected. What actually happens: * The insertion point moves. Selection works properly in the formula bar, which then produces a misleading appearance in the cell, as it shows no selection but continues blinking its insertion point.
Still happens in 1.7.11 in Ubuntu Gutsy.
Could someone set this as affecting 1.7.x ? Thanks !
Thank you.
known issue. It will get worked on as part of the ExprEntry extensions early in 1.9
Ok thank you.

We need to implement dragging.
