Description Tommi Komulainen 2006-04-05 19:23:12 UTC
gnome-terminal 2.14.0
metacity 2.14.1

1. start maximized gnome-terminal
2a. select 'Open Terminal' from context menu or Ctrl+N
2b. select 'Open Link' from context menu
2c. run 'gvim' on command line

Expected result:
New gnome-terminal/browser/gvim window appears on top and gets focus

Actual result:
Something flashes and then nothing. Further investigation shows the new window is hidden below the terminal window.

Thanks for the bug report. This particular bug has already been reported into our bug tracking system, and is just somewhat the expected behaviour of the new metacity which many people do not like. Please feel free to report any further bugs you find.
