GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 337300
Go back to previous page on "Backspace"
Last modified: 2006-04-09 19:51:18 UTC
IIRC, I have been using this during the days of Internet Explorer. I think "backspace" should go to previous page, just as Alt-Left does. Other information:
Thanks for your bug report! However this issue was already filed in the database previously. The reason that Epiphany doesn't use Backspace to go back, is that Backspace has a different meaning in html forms. In cases where you want to delete the previous character in a form, but the user doesn't notice the form isn't focused, you could go one page back and thereby lose information or risk submitting the same information twice. Especially for financial transactions etc. you don't want this. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of 169828 ***
