those connections created with "connect to server ... " that are shown on the desktop cannot be modified once created. Neither the name of the icon on the desktop nor the parameters (login name, server, etc.)

Confirming this. Strange it hasn't been filed already, but I didn't manage to find any duplicates...
It has bothered me quite a few times!
