Description Richard Laager 2006-03-28 06:19:37 UTC
I frequently move large numbers of messages for archival purposes. If I
accidentally drop the messages on the wrong account, there's no option to stop
the move. If I could stop it right away, I'd only have to re-move tens of
messages, rather than hundreds. I killed Evolution once when this happened, and
I ended up with a bunch of empty "messages" -- just blank lines in the Inbox. I
don't know if that means I lost messages or not.

you should just be able to hit the cancel button (button with a red circle with a white X in it)
Comment 2 Richard Laager 2006-03-28 16:25:27 UTC
Wow. I didn't even notice that button.

That's really confusing and inconsistent with every other application I've ever used -- okay, maybe I'm exaggerating ;). Is that HIG compliant though? If not, it should be fixed. If it is, I'll file a bug against the HIG.
Comment 3 André Klapper 2006-03-28 23:57:03 UTC
reopening. HIG: good question - just read the HIG i would say, i don't know either... ;-)
Comment 4 Matthew Barnes 2012-02-13 12:04:21 UTC
The HIG doesn't say anything about Cancel buttons in the toolbar. One could argue whether we should show text for that button regardless of toolbar style, but that's a separate bug report.

Closing this as NOTABUG.
