Description Sven Herzberg 2006-03-28 02:15:56 UTC
I get a misbehaviour when I act like this:

1. search for an email using the search bar over the message list (use a remote eg. imap folder over slow connection ~20kb/s)
2. wait for the results to appear
3. close evolution
4. wait for it to close
5. start a new evolution process
6. see that the search bar still has got the blue "you're seeing search results" background
7. evolution checks the folder for new messages
8. you see all the messages of the folder, but not the search results

This happens at least when I'm not at home and I've got slow email access (eg. it takes ~10 seconds for the server to show the mails).

It would be great to get this one done for GNOME 2.16

assigning this to srini as he wrote the code for search bar highlighting.

Sven, I dont see this. Can you help me get this. The color indicates that a search is in place. When it started again, u see the color and the text too or just the color only.
Comment 3 Sven Herzberg 2006-04-28 11:59:24 UTC
I see both the color and the text.

But I can also see all emails of this folder, not just the ones matching the search.
Comment 4 André Klapper 2006-07-06 11:14:29 UTC
i have also seen this in 2.6, however i cannot reproduce this with the new search UI in cvs head.
Comment 5 Sven Herzberg 2006-08-24 23:28:22 UTC
Same as Andre, can't reproduce with the new search UI. Closing as obsolete.
