Description Per Thomas Jahr 2006-03-27 17:57:35 UTC
Evolution should have some way of storing and accessing contact lists (address
books) on a webdav enabled server. Much like CalDAV but for vcards instead.

The options I have in 2.2.3 is either local addressbook or LDAP. Well, with a
local address book I can't do synchronization between different computers
easily. The company LDAP is behind firewalls, so I can't use that one either
for syncing.

I can't say if CardDAV is the protocol to use or not:

Link is down. You probably mean something like http://ietfreport.isoc.org/idref/draft-daboo-carddav/
Comment 2 Per Thomas Jahr 2007-02-21 08:38:25 UTC
That would have been perfect.
Comment 3 Ross Burton 2007-05-22 14:49:38 UTC
Man that's a good idea. Are there any reference implementations?
Comment 4 Johannes Berg 2008-11-30 16:36:22 UTC
I think #544051 implements what this is asking for?
Comment 5 Per Thomas Jahr 2008-11-30 19:25:03 UTC
Great!
