Description Allison Karlitskaya (desrt) 2006-03-27 01:14:58 UTC
aka "the bug that's not quite bug 326170"

if someone drags a .iso file onto the blank CD disc icon then what actually happens is almost definitely not what they wanted to happen.

in the case that the burn folder is empty (ie: the .iso is the only file that's been added) there should be a dialog or something asking them if they want to write the image file to CD.
Comment 1 Fabio Bonelli 2006-03-28 12:40:32 UTC
Hello Ryan,

the dialog is shown after you press the "Write on disc" button.
Comment 2 Rodney Dawes 2006-07-29 02:34:56 UTC
I'm confirming this. Building a new ISO that contains an ISO is not useful. The action should be the same as when right-clicking on an ISO and choosing the "Write CD" command.

From the dupe:
There's no way we can do that in nautilus-cd-burner itself, we'd need
special-casing in nautilus itself, which isn't a bad idea.

This bug was reported against a version which is not supported any more. Developers are no longer working on this version so there will not be any bug fixes for it.
Can you please check again if the issue you reported here still happens in a recent version of GNOME and update this report by adding a comment and adjusting the 'Version' field?

Again thank you for reporting this and sorry that it could not be fixed for the version you originally used here.

Without feedback this report will be closed as INCOMPLETE after 6 weeks.

Where does this blank disc icon appear now?
