Description Steven Garrity 2006-03-26 22:37:00 UTC
Please describe the problem:
The idle time for gnome-screensaver seems to become confused if you change you
system time. for example:

Steps to reproduce:
1. Set your gnome-screensaver to turn on after 10 minutes
2. Set your system time ahead 11 or more minutes

Actual results:
gnome-screensaver seems to think the system has been idle during that "missing
time" and the screensaver turns on immediately.

Expected results:
The screensaver should (probably?) keep track of it's own idle time, regardless
of any changes to the system clock/time.

Does this happen every time?
Yes.

Other information:
This could become a problem during daylight-savings-time changes.

Heh, seems you're not the only one to notice this when the daylight-savings-time changed ;-)
