Description Quim Gil 2006-03-22 11:03:35 UTC
Since Epiphany is about GNOME integration...

Would it be difficult to integrate the same realtime Check Grammar capabilities GEdit or Evolution have when writing in a web form with Epiphany?

My spelling is quite (let's say) unstable when I type fast, but my emails are more or less decent because Evolution puts in red those words I need to fix. But then I come to bugzilla, my weblog, forums... I post quick and then when reviweing or days later I just see how bad my spelling was.

We are writing more and more through a web brower. Considering thet Epiphany has already a link checker and a HTML checker, why not adding a useful grammar checker as well.

Do you mean grammar or spelling?
Cause AFAIK there are no grammar checking tools in GNOME... Perhaps I'm wrong, but I think you're talking about spell checking...
There is a bug open about spell checking, bug 121711. Perhaps this is a duplicate?
Comment 2 Reinout van Schouwen 2006-03-27 09:24:56 UTC
Abiword uses Link-grammar for (English) grammar checking so it would perhaps be possible to use that. However I agree that spell checking is far more important.

Although grammar checking would be a slightly different problem, I think this bug report refers to spell checking do duplicating against the older bug.

I meant spell checking, sorry. And yes, this is a dupe, sorry again. :)
