GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 335219
Nautilus should have tabs
Last modified: 2006-03-20 22:53:22 UTC
Nautilus should have tabs like mozilla firefox.
Nautilus isn't a web browser, it's a file manager. Don't know if you really are using 2.1 as you're suggesting, but currently nautilus doesn't even have web browsing code. Instead - nautilus har both the spatial mode for handling files, and a browser mode, none of which should have as many windows open as a web browsing session. Also - tabs are bad for dragging and dropping which is a must in a user-friendly file browser. There is another bug where this has been marked WONTFIX, and I personally think it's rightly so. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of 48034 ***
Konqueror have this feature, even on "file manager" mode. >>tabs are bad for dragging and dropping which is a must in a >>user-friendly file browser. And what is wrong in dragging and dropping files between tabs?
