Description Jean-François Fortin Tam 2006-03-10 00:31:20 UTC
Please describe the problem:
I don't know "exactly" why, .abw files recently stopped launching properly.

Steps to reproduce:
Double/single click a .abw file

Actual results:
I get the usual "this may be an attempt to fool you, it's a plain text with a
.abw extension!" dialog.

Expected results:
Open the file

Does this happen every time?
Yes

Other information:
I looked into /etc/gnome-vs-mime-magic, and searched for "abiword". I see the
string that is searched for is:
<abiword

However, I looked at an abiword file, and it starts like this:
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
<!DOCTYPE abiword PUBLIC "-//ABISOURCE//DTD AWML 1.0 Strict//EN" blah blah blah

I would like to know if this can be fixed before gnome 2.14, as it is really
annoying, there is no way to bypass the warning dialog. If it's not included,
please give me some instructions on how to change that /etc/gnome-vfs-mime-magic
file (or any other needed file that can easily be corrected), so that I can at
least run this properly on my machines. Thanks!
