Description louis_rush 2001-01-27 21:44:35 UTC
Package: control-center
Version: 1.2.1
Severity:

>Synopsis: I tried to start X and I got this message.
>Class: sw-bug
System: P 166 non-MMX, 128MB EDO memory. RedHat 7.0.

>Description:
After installing RH 7.0, I logged into my account, the first command I typed in was startx. Upon startup of Gnome I got a segmintation fault. I had to ctrl-alt-backspace the x server, and attempt to start it again. Two more attempts of logging in resulted in a seg fault. It was then I knew I could reproduce the problem (unfortunately) and clicked the link in the pop-up window.

>How-To-Repeat:
See above, it was just upgrade from RH 6.2 to RH 7.0, login, and start x. Some how I do not think this is a wide spread problem. I am probably unique.

I would like to fix this crash for the background capplet in the control center.
However i need help from you, i need to know if this crash happes when a
particular image is beeing set as the background and also if it happens every
time that image is set. If this is the case can you provide me with an URL to
the image that makes the background capplet crash so that i can try to replicate
it in my computer.

Thanks in advance
