GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 333319
Location entry breaks if typing fast enough.
Last modified: 2007-04-07 08:15:15 UTC
Steps to Reproduce: 1. Open filechooser dialog. 2. Type in '~/D'. It autocompletes to '~/Desktop/'. If you do it fast (not waiting for dropdown to appear), no part of this string is selected in the entry. Note that if you are slow enough and see the dropdown, then it completes to ~/Desktop, and 'esktop' part appears selected. 3. Press Enter. Result: Error dialog saying "Error getting information for '/home/muntyan/D': No such file or directory".
Hm, it's not quite like I described. I.e. it's 100% reproducible with my steps, but I can't get completed string with selection now.

(In reply to comment #5) > See also bug #333320; this could be a duplicate. > I think it is, as this is very similar to bug 350987, which also is about completion not working properly if one is too fast.
