Which thing are those values for? e.g. is it the main device, which has the mountable-volume listed 'inside' it?
(if you don't know, just run "hal-device > hal_data" and attach the "hal_data" file)

Is there just the one playlist? If there is only one, and it doesn't list anything beside filenames, we don't really need it for read-only support - we can just scan the volume for audio files. Of course knowing about it would be handy once we start adding write support for things.

Yes, it's the main device.

OK. Feel the same. It's just an info for the future.

This is also going to be difficult, since the playlist contains the dos 8.3 name of files, which there isn't an easy way of figuring out from the full name.
Comment 4 booxter 2006-03-12 08:28:01 UTC
It's not very important for this player (playlist usually is not used). So - here it is the location of the files:
/MUSIC/ - the music
/RECORDS/LINEIN - the input files
/RECORDS/VOICE - the voice files written with the dictophone
/SYSTEM - the Settings files

Maybe we should flag in the .fdi that it requires mounting with the dos filesystem, rather than vfat?
