gthumb cannot save rotated photos

Originally filed here: https://bugzilla.redhat.com/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=183141 gthumb refuses to save rotated photos back to the original file name, with an error message that it cannot write to the file - despite the file and directory being writable Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): gthumb-2.7.3-1 Steps to Reproduce: 1. copy photos from camera into directory 2. gthumb . 3. select photo, try to rotate it (fails from index, need to view photo) 4. view photo, then rotate it 5. try to save it (fails)
