Evolution gives an improper error if SMTP server requires authentication

Looks like I had a configuration problem on a newly created account.
The error message could use some work though. The problem was that I hadn't
checked "authentication required" for the outgoing server.

I've never seen this error with tbird, Mac OSX email client,
or even kmail, all of which are configured for the same IMAP server. So, Evo
is either causing the server to send this error, or the other clients do a much
better job of compensating for the poor IMAP server.
