Description srn 2006-02-27 06:59:14 UTC
ZoomBrowser, the software that comes with Canon digicams, has a nice feature
which allows for 2-up and 4-up display of photos. The Canon implementation isn't
ideal, though.

What I'd suggest is a view where you get two large, empty photo displays (each
about 1/2 of the screen), and beside/above/below/somewhere a list of thumbnails.

One could then drag a thumbnail into one of the display regions to view it at a
larger size (and be able to zoom, see metadata etc).

I find this very useful for comparing photos that I've taken with bracketing, or
just when I have a few nearly identical photos and I'm picking the sharpest.
