Description of the crash:
Ubuntu 5.10

Steps to reproduce the crash:
1. take a screenshot and save it as screen.jpeg
2. open the file with eog
3. eog will fail
4. show file properties ans look for file extension and file type

Expected Results:
application to run

How often does this happen?
every time I have the difference between the file type and extension

Additional Information:
would be nice to have this solved
not a critical nor a major problem
