GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 331016
translator comments for strings in a11y/calendar/ea-day-view.c
Last modified: 2013-09-13 00:53:02 UTC
we need translator comments for the following strings in a11y/calendar/ea-day-view.c: "It has %d event." "It has %d events." "It has no events." what is "it"? note that in many languages, the pronoun depends on the gender (this also become a "he" or "she"). please tell the translator what "it" is in this case by using a translator comment, or even better: replace "it" by the name of the "it". "Work Week View: %s. %s" "Day View: %s. %s" what are those two "%s"? how can one translate this properly? :-( http://developer.gnome.org/doc/tutorials/gnome-i18n/developer.html#use-comments
boby, can you please comment on this? thanks in advance.
The word "It" means the day which is selected. Then we take today for example, we will see the button's name that is "Thursday July 13th, 2006. It has 1 event." with gok. The first "%s" is replace with the label of this day view widget whose default accessible name is the date selected, and the second "%s" is how many events in that day. Is that clear?
thanks a lot for clarification, i am going to add comments so this can be translated properly.
