Please describe the problem:
i plug a exteranl usb drive  (exactly : ide drive pluggued into a external usb 
box !)
run gparted 
go to usb drive
umount it
resize and apply
it runs and ends with an error message ! I click OK i this screen and OK on the 
description screen.
AAnd everythink seems to be okay :-p

After the operation is done, the system (here fedora 4) mount the resized device. Could it cause gparted to give this error ?

yep, this could very well cause the error. This is in fact related to #324220 .

To be sure i need the more detailed output of the operation which is accessable by expanding the treeview in the 'details' of the progresswindow. I guess a screenshot will suffice.

i guess what you want, but it seems i cant go ahead through "details" : there's no button to press on :-/

you may see the media icon on the left : it has been mapped just before the error message appears !!!

still more details : as one can see error comes because the drive has been mounted...
