Hi,

Fabian Greffrath wishes a 'paste-column' feature, like in NEDIT.

Perhaps a plugin could fulfill this task.

forgot to dup this after we discussed about it on irc...

This is a long standing enanchement that needs to be implemented in GtkTextView. Unfortunately it's not trivial to implement.
