3) Got to some other instance and modify the summary, say modify all instances

This happens only in file backend.

Actually, the above bug is duplicate of bug #324219. This is something different.

I'm not much sure with this, thus please review carefully. I did want to change the remove_component function, but then I realized it as too hard, thus doing it other way.
