Editing: Evolution Composer Has Scrolling Problems With Animated Gifs
Last modified: 2009-02-20 16:59:17 UTC
Please describe the problem: Ok, this is a big stress test, but it should work. If you fill up Evo with a lot of animated gifs, the scroll bars don't work very well. You basically cannot move up or down with the scroll bars. When in composer mode, you end up having to use the arrow key to move between the images. The scroll bars just wiggle and stay in one place. attaching sample images. Steps to reproduce: 1. 2. 3. Actual results: Expected results: Does this happen every time? Other information:

to test, create a new message and insert all of these one on top of the other....until you have a few screens full of them and then try and scroll.
since this refers to composing html emails, i'm moving this to gtkhtml. there are already several bugs regarding animated images. :-/

Patch fixes the scrolling issue, however, introduces a bug that leaves the cursor mark (aka "|") at every line when you enable the caret mode while reading mails that has both animated gifs as well as some texts.
Created attachment 60778 [details] With patch applied and caret mode on, it leaves the cursor mark ( "|" ) at every line.
