Thanks for taking the time to report this bug. This bug report isn't very useful because it doesn't describe the bug well. If you have time and can still reproduce the bug, please read http://bugzilla.gnome.org/bug-HOWTO.html and add a more useful description to this bug. I'm missing a description what *exactly* you mean by "not recognize"?
I have a number of contact lists in my Exchange Contacts folder along with simple addresses. I can access and use the contact lists from Outlook and OWA. When I view this Exchange contact list with Evolution only the simple addresses are available. The contact lists do not show up ie are not recognized by Evolution.
ralph: What is simple addresses and what is that address which is not recognized by evolution. Can you give an example for these two type of address. What I have observed so far is any 'Contact list' created in Outlook 'Contacts'is not visible in Exchange 'Contacts' in Evolution. Contact list support in exchange connnector is yet to be implemented.
Poornima: By simple addresses I meant Contact in contrast to Contact List. Your observation is a good description of the 'problem.' I had not realized that Evolution had not yet implemented Exchange Contact Lists. Thanks for the information.
Created attachment 115832 [details] [review] proposed eex patch for evolution-exchange; With this patch I can see/create/modify/delete distribution lists in Evolution as contact lists. There are some limitations, though: - the name of the email cannot be stored if not in the server's addressbook (and I didn't find the way even when is, though storing only email on the server) - same as for GW, the "show addresses" is not stored on the server, set to true - maybe I forgot any other, I'm not sure. Anyway, I was told that there is a feature freeze since now on. I didn't get it in time for 2.24, seems to me...
Oh, I forgot: based on the article [1] given me by Varadhan. [1] http://gsexdev.blogspot.com/2004/09/scripting-contact-folder-distribution.html
Akhil, can you run of tests on this patch?
Awesome Milan, patch works great. Sync is happening at both sides. I checked changes in outlook also. I tried create/modify/delete operations. One trivial issue - when ever i modify any list in evolution, it over rights characters and doesn't show properly. See attached screen shot. Though it is a new feature, I would say as UI is already there, we should commit it for 2.24 :)

thanks, see bug #546263 I filled yesterday.
That is committed. Milan you can commit this. Dont say that it is a feature ;-) UI, Doc already there, I wont mark this as a feature, but just a bug.
