Sending bad quality audio

Please describe the problem: Hi ppl and thanks for Ekiga, Same issue when calling a windows sip client , Xlite. I hear him perfect, but my side is choppy and noisy. Non of this noise happens with twinkle. Calling the echo test at sip:613@fwd.pulver.com gives lots of broken sound, I do manage to carry on this test in twinkle and it reports using the g711u codec. Damien Sandras suggested it to be codec related, however, I recive audio in good quality with this version. What codec are you using?

I don't think this bug is a dup of 328794. I have applied the patch and I can get audio both side, but my echo test is choppy on return, while I can hear perfectly the voice prompt. But then I'm not sure, it could be a bandwidth issue where all the packets from ekiga do not arrive to asterisk (choppiness). I need to try with another sip phone and report.
The problem calling 613@fwd.pulver.com is clearly a dup of that bug. If you have choppy sound with the patch, then it is another problem. Please try with ekiga.net too, we have better bandwidth than pulver. Try alternative codecs too. I don't think there is a bug, really, except the one I marked as DUP.
Also, Niv, if twinkle is using G.711, try using G.711 with Ekiga too.
Frank, just for your information I have tried 613@fwd.pulver.com with both GSM and iLBC, and I get excellent results.
