Description John McCutchan 2006-01-30 02:35:03 UTC
Please describe the problem:
Kitchener is grouped under Waterloo in the location picker. This is incorrect
for a few reasons.

1) Kitchener is about twice as large as waterloo
2) The airport code shared for both kitchener and waterloo is actually located
in Kitchener
3) They aren't the same city and shouldn't be grouped as such.

4) The airport is named "Waterloo Regional Airport".

In situations like this in the past (see Virginia vs DC. for Washington airport) we've included the listing under both categories.

Moving libgweather-specific bugs out of gweather-applet
Comment 3 Vincent Untz 2008-11-25 22:43:42 UTC
I don't see Kitchener, so, hrm, I guess it got lost. Not sure if it's intentional or not.
Comment 4 Dan Winship 2008-11-29 20:38:51 UTC
As Vincent notes, Kitchener is now gone entirely, and the weather station is listed as just "Waterloo" (because that matches the name of the airport).

I'm closing this bug as obsolete, but feel free to open a new bug for "Canada locations" (or "Ontario locations") if you'd like to improve them in general according to the guidelines in http://live.gnome.org/LibGWeather/ImprovingLocations
