Hi,

I recently noticed this in the announcements:

Changes since 2.13.4

background:
- Changed main dialog to use explicit apply with OK and cancel buttons
  (Rodney Dawes)

This however causes a usability of a very common use-case:
 * Jane has tons of desktop backgrounds and changes them often, to find the one she likes, she goes through the list and previews them one by one.

With previous behavior, this was quite easy, now the only way is to open the dialog over & over again.

While the previous behavior was suboptimal in it's own way, the new one is it too.
