Description Sebastien Bacher 2006-01-22 23:36:32 UTC
That bug has been described on https://launchpad.net/distros/ubuntu/+source/evolution/+bug/28206

"Until recently I have been using evolution in Dapper without any problems. Then
yesterday I did a fresh install of Dapper Daily 2006-01-07 (but kept my home directory). Ever since I can't start evolution; it crashes immediatelly on startup. This doesn't occur in a new user account, so it doesn't like something
in my user configuration.

The error I get in my xterm is:
(evolution:5525): libgnomevfs-CRITICAL **: gnome_vfs_uri_set_user_name: assertion `uri != NULL' failed
....
> Thanks for your bug. Could you get a backtrace with the libgnomevfs2-0-dbg package installed (a rebuild of a debug evolution would be nice but don't bother
if you don't want to do that)? Do you publish some calendar? Does that happen if
you don't install the evolution-plugins package?
...
it stops crashing if I remove evolution-plugins. If I reinstall it, the crash comes back. I'm using 5 calendars, one local, and I subscribe to 4 remote ones.
 Withlibgnomevfs2-0-dbg installed, I get this traceback:
...
