Description gnutter 2006-01-21 22:04:47 UTC
Once the pathbar goes into scrolling mode (not enough room) the buttons are
either displayed or hidden.

This results jumping of the button images and if directory names are more than
half a dozen chars large proportion on the image area comes and goes making it
difficult to follow what is happening.

If the buttons could be clipped at the edge of the bar this would provide a more
constant readable tool.

For example, a directory called "holiday_photos" would still be helpful at the
end even if we could only see "holi" rather than it vanishing once there is not
enough room for the whole image.

Since many non technical users tend to use rather descriptive , chatty names
this could be a great help.
